Join our discord chat and follow us on our socials (Instagram, LinkedIn etc..) 3. Attend as many events as you can and be involved!!

Unfortunately, no. This is the Black Student Union of the NYIT NYC (Manhattan) Campus. There is another BSU on the Old Westbury Campus. We both support each other and attend each other's events but we are two different organizations. Hopefully, in the future we can be united one day.

The BSU is an inclusive organization who is accepting of everyone student no matter what or who you are. Though we are pro-black and do a lot of events in the support of black students, individuals outside of the black race find value in BSU events and resources. We also do a lot of events that are relatable to everyone such as volunteering, food insecurity, voting registration, karaoke etc.. Moral of the story, If you do not identify as Black, Join the BSU! If you do identify as Black, Join the BSU! We welcome all!!

Attend the General Body meeting which occurs as the first event of each semester. There is the first place to let the BSU leadership know what event you want them to host. Some of the benefits but not limited to are: 1. You get to be apart of a supportive and active community of Black and ally student leaders and innovators 2. You received professional and career support and resources 3. You get to become involved in different volunteer activities and get more visibility to volunteering opportunities 4. You get to have fun!!! We have so many fun events like karaoke, painting, galas etc... 5. You get more visible to administration and staff 6. You will get the chance to network with different students who can help you within your major 7. Plenty of networking opportunities 8. and More!!
